Elizabeth Willow

Elizabeth Willow is a fine artist and collector of dubious treasures. She uses sculpture, installation, text and performance to find meaning and tell stories, exploring our relationships with objects, place and time. A defining feature of her work is her use of found and reclaimed objects and materials, weaving together unwanted and abandoned things, fragments and broken bits; finding in them echoes of what they once were and what they could become.
The Winter Garden 2012  The Winter Garden is a collection paper and wire sculptures in the form of flowers, inspired by botanical illustration, Victorian rag-pickers and flower sellers, the intoxicating fragrance of second-hand bookshops, and by a year spent gardening. The pieces are painstakingly created from found and reclaimed materials, may change over time.
